Our NRA Personal Protection Outside the Home (PPOTH) course focuses on the mental and physical skills skills used to counter a life-threatening attack outside the home. Included are chapters on concealment techniques and devices, presenting the handgun from concealment while utilizing cover and concealment outdoors. This innovative course includes presentation and movement, point shooting, instinctive shooting, low-light shooting, engaging multiple targets and off-hand shooting.
Marksmanship Simplified focuses on a scientifically developed, objective-based approach to firearms training. This two hour range only class, is adaptable to YOUR needs and abilities, as opposed to making you “fit the mold.”
Key Objectives
The Basic Shotgun Shooting Course is a class where students develop the knowledge, skills, and attitude necessary to safely use a shotgun in defensive situations. You do not have to have prior experience as this class is open to students at any level!
This 8-hour course covers rifle fundamentals, safety, various action types, cleaning, and caliber choices. You will learn and practice the five shooting positions: prone, sitting, kneeling, bench, and offhand, with coaching both in the classroom and on the range.
